We brought Lawline's continuing legal education platform to iOS and Android using React Native, carrying its web features onto smaller screens.
Scope
The mobile apps needed to offer the same features as the web product. React Native let us develop both together, with each platform's conventions guiding the interface.
Translating a Visual Language
The web system had to fit a four-inch screen. We adjusted type, spacing, and components while retaining the patterns existing Lawline users knew.
Learning On-The-Go
The course player puts playback controls within thumb reach and leaves the slides easy to follow. It supports listening during commutes, between hearings, and away from a desk.
Getting Work Done
SmartNotes uses action sheets and swipe gestures to make notes manageable on a phone. Course materials and synchronized presentations complete the mobile workflow.
